Happy New Year! Since the summer of 2021 we’ve had the privilege of not only getting to try each product we’ve featured but also getting to speak with the founders and teams who created them. Everything featured we’ve genuinely enjoyed, and each brand and product bring something unique to the marketplace that truly makes it bomb-diggity! Candy made with real vegetables? Healthy pizza bites? You name it, the 26 brands we’ve featured so far are all impressive in their own ways, and that’s why they’re on THEBOMB.COM!

We decided to take this week to highlight the brands we've featured as well as give you a lengthy (but important) update on THEBOMB.COM which you can read below in the "diggity-details" section. Thanks for all your ❤️ and support.

DIGGITY-DETAILS

WHAT’S THEBOMB.COM?

Well, that’s like asking “what’s awesome?” It can be a bit overwhelming to be in pursuit of an answer. Bedazzled jeans are thebomb.com to someone and new power tools are thebomb.com to someone else… or maybe to the same stylish carpenter. See what we mean? The question is subjective, which makes it tough to answer!

 

It has been a challenge figuring out what to do with this culturally iconic domain name. We originally wanted to find and feature products from every category and every industry. If it was cool, we wanted it on THEBOMB.COM. We found this beautiful coffee brewer, then we found an awesome personal mini fireplace. The list could go on… but we felt like we needed to niche down to find a true home for THEBOMB.COM rather than dabble in dozens of product categories in every industry under the sun. Still following?

 

What we came to realize is that one thing we can all agree on is that food is THEBOMB.COM. And to our excitement, we noticed there are TONS of food and beverage brands in the CPG (consumer packaged goods) industry that are working hard to make better-for-you products that truly deserve to dismantle the established brands of past generations.

 

So, we decided to turn THEBOMB.COM into an online billboard to Promote Praiseworthy Products™ in the CPG industry. Only with products we’ve tested and love.

 

 

BUT HERE’S OUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE…

In one word: time

 

And we know that’s a pathetic excuse, but here’s why…

 

THEBOMB.COM is owned and managed by a small team of three 30-ish year old life-long entrepreneurs. Between the three of us we have families, dogs, and mortgages that require that thing we call money. THEBOMB.COM does not make money at this stage, so that’s why we have little choice but to face reality and put the bulk of our time into the projects that pay us.

 

As one of our co-founders recently put it via text message:

“The reality is just that time isn’t as abundant as it needs to be. I wish I had more time to make content constantly and research more brands but paid work just wins out as lame as that sounds… and I feel like a chump for not saying no to paid things to give THEBOMB.COM more attention but… I think we all understand the dilemma.”

 

When we launched THEBOMB.COM, we hoped to be able to grow it to a sustainable point quickly enough to support our livelihoods, and that did not happen. Which is TOTALLY fine! Ups and downs and good and bad is what life is all about. Not everything can be a success, and certainly not everthing can be an overnight success… (even when you have the advantage of the world’s best domain name).

 

SO WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are going to keep moving in the direction of featuring food and beverage products, so we’re leaving it up to brands within the CPG industry to help us make THEBOMB.COM the world’s most bomb-diggity-dot-com.

 

For a brand to be featured, please 1) contact us via the form on our home page 2) send samples for us to try 3) have a quick call with us 4) provide us with your creative assets.

 

If we LOVE the product and brand, it will be featured on THEBOMB.COM. For our own time savings, we now ask that each brand provide us with copy and imagery. We do not want payment from you. Brands will be featured on a first come first served basis. Feature duration will depend on demand, and your listing will live on THEBOMB.COM and within categories indefinitely.

Long term, we will consider adding a web store to the site so you can purchase the products directly from us.
